Distributed trunking works, but package are lost and netwerk slows down
Hi,
I created a distributed trunking with dt-lacp between an 5406 and 5412.
Both are recognizing the dt-lacp status with status successfull and its working. So I can remove cable a) from 5406 and the traffic is going over the 5412 switch. There is an 8GBit lacp switch interconnect trunk between both switches.
If I connect a Server with configured lacp bonding of 4 cables, then i have package losts. 2 cables goes into switch a) and two into b) configured as dt-lacp trunking. if the cables into switch b) are not connected, everything is fine. If only b or both are connectet I recognize packges losts.
If i connect the 4 cables at a suiteable configured lacp trunk at switch a), everything is fine.
So is there an missconfigured Uplink between both switches?
What could be the reason?
My config:
switch a)
sw-bre-coreEG(config)# sh distributed-trunking peer-keepalive
Distributed Trunking peer-keepalive parameters
Destination : 192.168.92.6
VLAN : 4092
UDP Port : 1024
Interval(ms) : 1000
Timeout(sec) : 5
sw-bre-coreEG(config)# sh switch-interconnect
Port : Trk98
Status : Up
Active VLANs : 1,12,22-23,32,42,47,52,102-105,360-365,945-948,960
sw-bre-coreEG(config)# sh lacp distributed
to much, but everything is fine
switch b)
sw-bre-coreEG(config)# show distributed-trunking peer-keepalive
Distributed Trunking peer-keepalive parameters
Destination : 192.168.92.5
VLAN : 4092
UDP Port : 1024
Interval(ms) : 1000
Timeout(sec) : 5
sw-bre-sr-eg02(eth-B22)# show switch-interconnect
Port : Trk98
Status : Up
Active VLANs : 1,12,22-23,32,42,52,102-105,262,360-365,945-948,960
sw-bre-coreEG(config)# sh lacp distributed
to much, but everything is fine
ps. the server side is configured for 802.3ad
thanks for helping me!

Re: Distributed trunking works, but package are lost and netwerk slows down
can you show us a "show run" from each switch containing the interface configurations of the interfaces the server is patched to.
Can you show us a "show interface" for each of these 4 interfaces + the trunk interfaces.
On both switches, show us a "show interface" on each of the interfaces that do the interconnect (16 physical + 2 trunk = 18 interfaces total).
Swap the switch a) server patch leads over with the switch b) server patch leads (don't unpatch them from the server, just move the switch ends).
Does the problem stay on switch b)?
