E5412 connection to an Intel X520-DA2
I have an HP Procurve E5412ZL with a 10G module (J9538) that uses SFP+ connectors. I have an HP direct attach cable (J9285B) connected to the switch at one end and to an Intel X520-DA2 (Intel 82599EB) at the other ends. I have this connection setup for three hosts (2 -VMware ESXi 5 and 1 SLES 10 sp4). The hosts recognize the 10G adapter, but no traffic seems to ever go back and forth.
Questions: What needs to be done to get the Intel card to communicate through the HP switch?

Re: E5412 connection to an Intel X520-DA2
I appears that the HP direct attach cable
HP X242 SFP+ SFP+ 7 m Direct Attach Cable J9285B
will not work with th eIntel X520-DA2 NIC.
I MUST find a cable that will work with both the 10 gig module (J9538A) and the Intel X520-DA2" NIC.
Can someone please tell me if they have successfully connected these two, if so how.
Any help will be deeply appreciated!
