Fault-finder warn-and-block
Hello,
I'd like to find out if we have the possibility to enable not only warnings for fault-finder on the 2510 procurve switch with 11.35 firmware but also to warn-and-block as on higher production line switches, 3500 etc. I need to block the port in case of a port flapping incident.
Thanks.

Re: Fault-finder warn-and-block
Hello,
Maybe someone else can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm not aware of fault-finder being capable of this - it's just for detecting the issues, not preventing them or otherwise interfering with switch operation.
Actually I don't believe there's any way to do what you are asking about. Usually one would just set up monitoring and alerts via SNMP in case of such an event, and then go ahead and fix it when it happens. If you've also got link aggregation in place it shouldn't be such a big issue to have a flapping link either... it would likely be a bigger issue to have a link get shut down because of flapping.
