Force 5406zl to use IGMP v2 only
We have a network setup whereby the Edge switch (V1905) only support IGMP v2 and the Core switch (5406zl) support up to IGMP v3.
The problem arise when IGMP snooping was turn on at the Edge switch with camera transmitting in multicast mode trying to register into the IGMP table with IGMP v3 join message (because the core switch is v3) which the Edge switch couldnt understand and as a result causing multicast packet to broadcast across the switch network port.
Is there a way for us to force the core switch to use only IGMP v2 so that across the network we only have IGMP v2 hence the camera will transmit only IGMP v2 join packet?
Please advice.
Thank you.
