Forward Gateway requests to another Gateway - Possible?
Hi gents, I have a bit of an issue.
I have a HP 5406zl switch that I am using as my core. Up until now I have never needed to route between VLANS, and so I have not had routing enabled on it, as routing for my WAN is done on a CISCO router that I don't have admin rights over.
I now need to be able to route between two of my VLANS. The HP 5406zl has an IP address on both of the VLANS, and I have enabled routing. When I set the 5406zl as the default gateway on a device on each VLAN I can get them to ping one and other. So far so good.
However, I now can no longer get the internet on these machines as they are not looking at CISCO gateway any more.
Is there any way to use the 5406zl as my gateway but then still push these requests up to another gateway?
I do layer 3 stuff so infrequently, that I am really stuck on a lot of this stuff.
Thanks in advance for any help!
