HP 2810-48G link problem
Hi all -
I am seeing some kind of incompatability between my procurve 2810-48g and my point to point provider's Atrica A-2140. The atrica device and procurve are both set to auto negotiate. When I plug a straight cable into my procurve, I do not get any link lights. I only get connection lights if I set the procurve to 100 half or 100 full, however both show CRC errors, and aditionally, the 100 half duplex shows duplex mismatch errors.
I have since put a small netgear 5 port workgroup hub between the procurve and atrica device, and traffic is flowing nicely.
Unfortunately any changes to the network have to be done after hours, so I have not yet been able to have my p2p provider hardcode their interface. Does anyone else have any experience as to why I cant get these two devices to autonegotiate, now communicate when hardcoded (at least on our end)?
P.S. This thread has been moevd from Switches, Hubs, Modems (Legacy ITRC forum) to ProCurve / ProVision-Based. - Hp Forum Moderator
