HP 2920 IGMP Querier Issue
Hi,
i've been testing an HP 2920 (WB 15.15.0006) in an IP TV network. It seem's that there is an issue with the built in IGMP querier. The querier sends "Membership Query" to destination adddress (224.0.0.1) and multicast MAC (01:00:5e:00:00:e0), but that don't match and is thus ignored by my clients (windows OS). The correct MAC should be (01:00:5e:00:00:e0).
I attach a packet trace (wireshark). The HP2920 is the 192.168.0.165 (see packet #83, #84, #85). Clients are 172.16.16.99, 192.168.0.50 and 192.168.0.20.
For comparison a another switch was used (192.168.0.90, different brand ...) that work ok (see packets #59, 64, 69).
Regards, Josef
