HP 2920 QoS on Wireless for Skype for Business ?
hi all,
anyone had any experience adjusting QoS for skype for business on these switches ?
I have cisco meraki wifi APs plugged on VLAN 20. For some reason skype for business connection is poor when hosting or joining a meeting.
Added QoS rule for VLAN 20 :
Type of Service : VLAN, Priority (7) high priority. Was wondering if that is the correct way to prioritize traffic or do I need to do it via DSCP policy for voice and video on VLAN 20 ?

Re: HP 2920 QoS on Wireless for Skype for Business ?
afaik, skype for business doesn't send out DSCP marked packets. You can create a GPO so all UDP sent from lync.exe has DSCP marking
Most important is QoS on meraki. I doubt the link from your switch to the AP is congested, so there's really not that much to gain by prioritizing traffic on the switch. Marking CoS or DSCP on the switch might be useful to assist Meraki in handling QoS
Also, wireless will give some packet loss, which might become noticable on UDP based VOIP/Video protocols

Re: HP 2920 QoS on Wireless for Skype for Business ?
Because it's Skype, Voice & Data is on the same VLAN, right?
That being the case, you will need to implement a QoS policy I would say.
Don't use "7" as your Voice priority.
HP switches are ready for "6" for voice RTP, "3" for voice signalling and "4" or "5" for video.
