HP 5406zl Parity Error

Hi folks,

I have recently noticed this error cropping up in my logs routinely. I'm slightly confused as I don't have a module K so I'm not sure what its referring to

00907 IpAddrMgr: ST1-CMDR: Module K BMP TCAM parity recovery
0x80008e74 0x00000000

Could it be referencing the supervisor?

Thanks for any help

Chris

Re: HP 5406zl Parity Error

Hello @Chris32,

The Event Log Message Reference Guide gives the following explanation:

# 907
Message <slot> <memory location> <table type> parity recovery <table entry>
Severity warning
Description There has been a successful recovery from a parity error. RMON_IPADDRMGR_PARITY_ERROR_RECOVERY

Refer below link:

https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=emr_na-c03246015

Device is running on quie old software version so I will advise you to upgrade the switch to latest software version.

What is the reason for Management Module 2 is offline?

1/MM2 HP J9827A Management Module 5400Rzl2 Offline YES 1

Thanks!

That's a VSF.

Secondary MM on each chassis of a VSF Cluster is automatically set offline by enabling the VSF configuration.

Edit:

Note 1: the Thread title is misleading (OP refers to HP ProCurve 5400 zl but he is really dealing with a pair of Aruba 5400R zl2, as command outputs report).

Note 2: IIRC KB.16.04.0008 was mid 2017, it's time to update, go to KB.16.11.0002.
