HP E6600-24XG Switch (J9265A) - Stacking and Uplink
Hi experts,
Appreciate if any expertscould provide me with some advise on the following:
1) Can i just do stacking and uplink using any SFP+ port infront of the switch ? Does IRF comes into picture in this case ?
Thank a million in advance and hope to hear from you guys really soon ! =)
Cheers
Charles

Re: HP E6600-24XG Switch (J9265A) - Stacking and Uplink
Hi,
The E series, ex-procurve switch, do not support IRF but "stack commander" to create an unified CLI to configure all switch in a stack through one switch.
Any layer2 common protocols are in use, like spanning-tree.
Regarding which port ti use, any of them could be right.
Bye.

Re: HP E6600-24XG Switch (J9265A) - Stacking and Uplink
Hi,
As Helper said the "stacking" in E6600 isnt stacking like Cisco stackwise or H3C/HP A-series IRF, its just a unified cli management between a number of separate switches. I think you could use any port in a E-series stacking configuration, the switches has to be on the same vlan though.
