HP Procurve 2910 problem

Hi Everyone,

I'm encountering a problem establishing network connectivity between my DR Site to HQ using 2920 HP Procurve switch.

I'm using an extender for connectivity on my DR Sites( so it uses the same subnet same on HQ.192.168.123/24) I wasn't able to ping my server on DR Site (192.168.123.4) from HQ using the same IP segment(192.168.123.8) when i connected the link from DR site to my HP switch on HQ. I tried to plug the link directly to my laptop and i can ping the server. also tried to reset the switch to default settings, but still i can ping the server.

Here's my topology

SERVER<----->EXTENDER1(DR)<------>EXTENDER2(HQ)<---->HPSWITCH<----->CLIENTPC's

Extender2 cable is connected to Port1 of the switch,

Client PC connected to Port2 of the switch

Also Tried to check this settings on switch:

-Check port status - ok UP. have Tx and Rx

-Check VLAN configuration - nothing except VLAN1

-check trunkports - no trunkports

-check spanning tree instances on VLAN 1 and port1 - disabled

-check and test MDIX mode settings - still can't ping server

- check and test speed-duplex settings - still can't ping server

- check port security and disabled - still can't ping server

I'm glad if you could help me out here. Thanks,

Gian.
