Hi to all,
I was trying to update the software version from my wireless module and when the module booted I got this error:
ProCurve Switch 5412zl# show wireless-services a
Status and Counters - Wireless Services Module A Status
HP Wireless Services ZL Module J9051A
Versions : A.01.05
Current status : failed to boot
Status and Counters - Wireless Services Module A Status
HP Wireless Services ZL Module J9051A
Versions : A.01.05
Current status : failed to boot
It is possible configure the module to boot from the secondary flash? Or how can I do the reset of this module to the factory defaults?!
Best regards,
Rui Sousa

Re: J9051A failed to boot
No knowledge about the error, I don't tink there is a secondary flash on the module.
Troubleshooting
Q: I have lost/misplaced/forgotten the password for access to my ProCurve Wireless Edge Services zl Module. How can I restore access?
The module will have to be reset to factory defaults. This may be done from the CLI of the module by accessing it through the host 5400zl switch, as follows.
- ProCurve5406zl>enable
- ProCurve5406zl#wireless-services
- ProCurve5406zl(wireless-services-d)#erase startup-config

Re: J9051A failed to boot
Hi Scooter,
I tried
ProCurve Switch 5412zl# wireless-services a
Wireless Services A is not ready.
There is a secondary flash on the module but it seems that the system doesn't try to boot from there.
