modules in startup config
I have a J9148A / 2910al-48G-PoE switch that lists the following modules in the startup configuration. This switch is running software version W.14.38 . I will call this switch "switchA"
module 1 type J9148A
module 2 type J9149A
module 3 type J9008A
Modules 2 & 3 are not installed on this switch - why would they be listed in the startup configuration? I am unable to remove the following commands via CLI
module 2 type J9149A
module 3 type J9008A
Looking at other J9148A / 2910al-48G-PoE with the identical hardware configuration and software version only have following is listed in thier startup configuration
module 1 type J9148A
Question: how do I remove the following from the startup configuration of switchA ?
module 2 type J9149A
module 3 type J9008A

Re: modules in startup config
Hi eisenberg,
You should be able to remove them by downloading the running-config, remove the two lines you need to remove and then upload the edited config. save it to the running-config and you shojuld be done. If it still claims that you have two "phantom" modules you might need to perform a reset on the switch.
