Moving modules
Hopefully a straightforward answer....
In a modular switch (such as the 5406zl), if you have a module in a slot, and config settings for ports in that module, if you move the module to a different slot, does the config follow to the new slot location?
I need to move a module in slot C to slot E (E is currently empty), then install a new (different) module in slot C. If this is possible, my plan would be to move the module from slot C to E, reboot the switch, then add the new module into slot C. It would just be easier if the config automatically updated when I did this.

Re: Moving modules
No, the configuration does not follow the module.
I would recommend getting the pre-swap config file into notepad, manually editing interface names for any interface specific config and pasting it back in once the module has been swapped.
As for the vlan specific tagging/untagging, you will again need to do this manually post-swap.
Pete.
