Multicast filtering or duplicating on Procurve 2610
Dear Sirs,
I have a problem with the delivery of multicast streams (TV channels) with a couple of Procurve 2610 that I could solve by 2 ways, but I don't know how to configure either way :
1) On a VLAN, there are 2 multicast streams. I need to filter out one stream but let the other one pass on one port. The equipment connected to this port does not support IGMP (no 'join'). If I read correctly, I could use IGMP in static configuration to block or forward but that would apply to both streams not only one...
2) On the other switch (the one connected to the streamers), if I could duplicate a multicast stream (only one stream identified by source IP or multicast IP) present on one VLAN on another VLAN, I would be able to solve my problems. Apparently, I can not route a multicast stream to the IP of a VLAN (the IP of the VLAN, not the IP of an equipment connected to the VLAN).
Maybe, I need additional equipment to be able to do what I need to do....
Thanks for helping me...
Have a nice day,
Kam

Re: Multicast filtering or duplicating on Procurve 2610
Dear all,
The equipment that did not support IGMP now supports IGMP. That solved my problem. :)
Thanks and have a nice day,
Kam
