Need Help Connecting a 5406ZL to a 3500YL switch via fiber
I am using 2 HP ProCurve J4858C GIGABIT SX-LC MINI GBIC 1000Base-SX to connect the 5406zl and 3500yl via fiber optic cable and I get lights indicating that there is a connection but I cannot ping the switch or it does not allow dhcp to connect to PC's no communication even though there is activity I can see when I connect to switch via serial cable there is TX /rx activity. Is there something I need to do to the switch to enable it to do this.
Need major help ASAP.
