Need List of Mac Addresses from multiple Switches.

Hello,

Im currently looking for a tool or a method of pulling the Mac Address Table from multiple switches (hundreds).. I wasnt sure if anyone knew of a simple tool (Preferably fairly cheap). I also use Procurve Manager Plus, but I dont see this functionality out of the software... Appreciate any help!

Solarwinds is pretty good, but it's not all that cheap.

SolarWinds doesnt have the ability to pull this report from all switches that Im aware of... The only one Ive found is MagageEngine OpUtils.. However for my scale its really overpriced for my purpose... :)

Sure it does.

There is also netdisco, or you could just use SNMP with a little programming. snmpwalk dot1qTpFdbTable and Net::SNMP will get you a long way.

Did you have a use case in mind?

For Inventory Purposes. The SolarWinds solution would work, but that is a little pricey for just a inventory.

I will look into netdisco

For hundreds of switches, that Solarwinds module would come out to less than $10 per switch!

Since this is an HP forum don't forget that IMC (Intelligent Management Centre) is available as the preferred monitoring and management platform for HP Networking devices.
