Need to replace Cisco with HP Equivalent Switches

Can anyone recommend an HP Replacement for the Cisco Switches:

Cisco SPS2024

Cisco SPS2024-G4, and

Cisco SPS208G

Check out the HP switch selector tool: http://h17007.www1.hp.com/au/en/products/switches/selector/

It allows you to select the major features of a switch (e.g. 24-28 ports, Gigabit fibre) and compare specs.

Those Cisco switches have some advanced features like Q-in-Q - do you need that? if you do, then switches like the ProCurve 3500 or (Comware) 5500 might be appropriate.

If you just need a 1Gb switch, the 2510G or just-released 2530 might be suitable.

Re: Need to replace Cisco with HP Equivalent Switches

Hi Richard,

Do you know what the major changes between the 2520 and 2530 range are?  The 2530 doesn't seem to be in the switch selector tool yet...

2530 supports PoE+

Allows for IPv4/IPv6 dual stack

2530 now updated in Quick Specs and IRIS configurator.
