No alert log displayed for Procurve 2510-24G

The web interface for my Procurve 2510-24G does not disaplay the alert log.  I know that there have to be/have been alerts.

I've cleared the Java and IE caches.  Tried accessing in Chrome and Firefox.  Changed the fault detection to 'high'.  With no success.

Any assistance appreciated.

I find the web interface of HP switches to be buggy and unreliable. Have you updated to the latest Java version? Check also that the web address of the switch is listed under the Java Site Exception List (Control Panel -> Java -> Security)

Thanks for reply.  Latest Java and the addresses are in the Exception list...

Is there a way to view the alerts through the command line interface?

"show log -r" will show log entries in reverse chronological order (newest first)

If you have a bunch of switches you may also want to think about logging to a syslog server. This gives you one central interface for all log entries, and it will also help with troubleshooting since the log gets cleared when a switch restarts for some reason.
