PCM+ 4 TFTP

Hi All!

We are in the process of migrating our lan to HP Procurve...  so I'm a novice regarding HP Procurve products.

I have just setup the PCM+ 4 60 day trial, but I cant get the TFTP for downloading the switch configs working...  I just get a error message that the TFTP times out.

zl5406 Switch Firmware K.15.06.0008

Any one who knows where to start troubleshooting?

Hello,

Are you sure there's no firewall blocking TFTP in between the switch and server?

Aside from that, have you checked the switch config and made sure there isn't "no tftp" set?

Also, the TFTP and SCP are mutually exclusive in the switch-configs. And as far as I recall, PCM seems to enable SCP when it is 'initializing' a new switch. As mentioned by Justin, in the switch-config, you will then notice a line 'no TFTP server' and/or 'no TFTP client'.

The PCM+ v4 was two headed (2 nics/IPs) I Reconfigured the PCM server to only utilize 1 IP, and Disabled the windows FW.....  hardened the switch config / disabled SFTP and now have SCP working :)
