Policy based routing capabilities in E6600 switch

Any chance that PBR will be included in the the E6600 series switch in the near future?

Re: Policy based routing capabilities in E6600 switch

Hi,

I don't know if we can request for any chance :smileyhappy: but at that time more explanation about the actual PBR is availaible in this post : http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/E-Series/Newbie-Routing-Question/td-p/2339983

Maybe A-Series is a good solution if your are looking for product replacement, but if you waiting for firmware enhancement ... you can contact Support team for an enhancement request and wait ....

Bye.

Re: Policy based routing capabilities in E6600 switch

Just read the latest Product brochure for the E5400/E3500 series switches and it mentions that it can do "Policy Based Routing". http://h20195.www2.hp.com/v2/getdocument.aspx?docname=4AA0-4236ENW.pdf. Page 4, last sentence under ProVision ASIC section just above the Scalibility and Versitility section on the right side.

Does ProCurve series (E) now support true PBR?

Re: Policy based routing capabilities in E6600 switch

After comparing the E6600 and A58xx ToR, the E6600 blows them out of the water in regards to the specs. Packets per min/Routing Table, etc. It would be a no brainer to put PBR onto the device.
