Pro Curve 8212zl secondary subnet on a vlan
Is it possible to add a secondary subnet to a vlan interface. If so what would be the command structure? It is possible on Cisco by giving you secondary option, not seeing that type of option on HP.

Re: Pro Curve 8212zl secondary subnet on a vlan
Hello,
A VLAN that can have IP interfaces in different IP subnets is called multinetted VLAN.
See this document.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/networking/software/Mgmt-Oct2005-59906023-Chap08.pdf
Multinetting: Assigning Multiple IP Addresses to a VLAN.
For a given
VLAN you can assign one primary IP address and up to seven secondary IP
addresses. This allows you to combine two or more subnets on the same
VLAN, which enables devices in the combined subnets to communicate
normally through the network without needing to reconfigure the IP addressing
in any of the combined subnets.
The exact configuration is explained on page 8-9 but it is really straightforward.

Re: Pro Curve 8212zl secondary subnet on a vlan
Correction: The 8212zl supports 32 IP addresses per VLAN
