Procurve 2610 errors on port - too many underssized/giant packets on port 5
port 5 on my switch is connected to a kyocera 3500i printer.
the printer has locked up on us several times today.
I look on my 2610 and for that port I see the following errors over and over:
alert - excessive undersized/giant packets , desciption too many underssized/giant packets on port 5
is this an issue with the NIC on the printer, or cabling, or what?
I would doubt it was cabling, as I have a patch cable going from the printer to a network biscuit block, and from there to punch down panel, then to the HP switch.

Re: Procurve 2610 errors on port - too many underssized/giant packets on port 5
These sort of errors are nearly always caused by bad cabling or a faulty NIC on the other end. If the printer is locking up regularly, i'd be looking at that as the cause before trying anything on the switch side.
