Procurve 2610 POE stops delivering power

Customers are complaining that the Procurve 2610 POE stops delivering power.   The problem recurs even after receiving same product replacements from HP.    See customer complaints in the following social media link:

 I’ve facilitated one case to Tech Support where a  customer has many of these switches and has experienced many failures.  The tech support response has always been to send same product replacement.  HP’s Technical Support acknowledged the problem and assured the customer that HP would issue a customer advisory which I do not see.  We certainly would appreciate at least one comment about the ProCurve 2610 POE issue from one of the experts on the forum today.   Are there other options other than same product replacement?
