Procurve 2920 port activity history
is there a way to see the activity history on a given port?

Re: Procurve 2920 port activity history
Your switchlog should be recording UP/DOWN events for the switchports.
If you send logs to a Syslog server, you will have logging going back in time available for you to see.
If you want to see performance statistics, you would need a tool that could use SNMP to periodically query the switchport and record utilisation stats so that it can build a database of performance statistics over time.
