Procurve switch 2824 firmware

Hello all,

I was giving this switch from a friend since I was needing a 16 port switch and he wasn't using it.  I have reset it to factory default.  I am trying to update firmware to I_10_103.swi.

When I use putty to telnet into switch. And try the copy or download OS in menu I get error.  Looks like it's not trying to pull from my Windows 8 box running TFTPD32.

Any ideas?

why not try using browser and GUI for switch firmware update? it's much easier this way on most Procurve switches.

if you persist on tftp method then also, which flavor of win8 are you running, 32-bit or 64-bit? try using tftpd64 if you run x64 OS, also disable the Windows firewall for time being to rule it out.
