QOS on an E3400cl
Hi
I logged a request with HP support for this but perhaps someone here can help ?
I have a 3400cl switch which connects to a router only and no other switches. Customer will be connecting Cisco Teleprescence Vid Conf equip directly to this switch.
I will create a VLAN 40 and put the VC equipment in this vlan
They have given me a list of TCP and UDP ports for AF41 and CS3. I suspect the best is to use tcp/udp port based DSCP policies for QOS. I have mapped AF41 to priority 6 and CS3 to priority 5
Now on my 5400zl in my lab I can use the range command as follows:
qos udp-port ipv4 range 49152 59999 dscp 100010 (Af41)
qos udp-port ipv4 range 1718 1720 dscp 011000 (CS3) etc etc
but on the 3400cl I am unable to specify a range.
please advise how to apply the QOS to a range on the 3400 as opposed to each tcp/udp port individually. Alternatively please assist with a workable configuration to ensure the Vid Conf enjoys prioritization. I could use vlan based QOS priority in vlan 40 but then I see I can only choose either "qos dscp af41" OR "qos dscp cs3". Not both !
There are other sites with Cisco switches that will also have QOS configured but the Cisco guys will use tcp/udp dscp policies and I would like to keep it uniform.
Thanks

Re: QOS on an E3400cl
forgot to ask should the 2 ports in vlan 40 connecting to the Vid Conf equipment be tagged or untagged ?
