QOS over non route-able vlan
Im not sure if I am understanding this right but here is my scenerio.
Non routed vlan on hp 5900 10gb to hp 2920 with same non routed vlan. Copper hand off from provider for outbound PRI into 2920 on same vlan.
Second location hp 5900 (IRF) 10gb to hp 2920 same vlan copper to outbound PRI Adtran. Users are reporting random poor call connections outbound.
My understanding is that no QOS is needed because the only thing on that vlan is just that outbound PRI. Am I wrong should i be using qos and or voice on this vlan?
Thank You,

Re: QOS over non route-able vlan
If I understand correctly, you have 2 sites with a Layer-2 connection between them. Across that connection is a VLAN.
What does an extended ping show within that VLAN from site to site?
What is the bandwidth of the link?
How many other VLANs share that link?
Do you have performance statistics from monitoring the link?

Correct.
What does an extended ping show within that VLAN from site to site?
<1ms between 5900 <6ms between 2920's. The Pri is on its own network from the provider I am just using the vlan to get it from one room to another.
What is the bandwidth of the link?
10gb between hp 5900 10gb between 2920's and 100mb from / to provider hardware
How many other VLANs share that link?
0
Do you have performance statistics from monitoring the link?

I am fairly confident the issue is with the provider and the pri routes on their T1. I am just unsure if QOS or Voice priority needs to be applied to something that isnt sharing traffic. I do have the vendor looking into their side. I just wanted to be sure the issue was not on my end as well.
Thank You and I hope this information helps.
