Rx discards on 10Gig interface
I have an HP Procurve E5406zl with part number J8697A. On one of the 10Gig interfaces I am seeing millions of Rx discards. The part number for the 10Gig interface is J9150A. How do I show the interface buffers, so that I can tell if the problem is with the switch interface or the device that it is connected to? I'm not seeing problem on any of our other 10Gig interfaces.
Also, what are some other possible causes for Rx discards?

Re: Rx discards on 10Gig interface
Hi,
I am having millions of InDiscards on HP A5500-EI series on CX4 local connect modules, being used for IRF stacking. On "normal" ports, I always thought those InDiscards occur, if there are different/wrong tagged VLAN frames arrive, that are not expected. But on IRF stacking ports? That doesn´t make sense. So, why are packets discarded?
