i have question about the stack in procurve 2910
i want just to know if the commander fails down, one of the membres takes its place as commander or the stack will down too?

Solution2910 24g al is only ip-stacking or 1 ip for management of all members
If the commander goes down, the other members will not take its place
You can see it as separate switches with 1 mgmt ip, no L3-stacking
The new 2920, replacement of the 2910 can do real stacking

That's interesting - my local HP guys were telling me just the other day that the 3800 was the only procurve that does proper stacking.

@Vince, we use the 2920 in stack regularly for iSCSI configurations
