Trunk only passes traffic when one cable connected.
Guys
I have a wierd one.
I have switch A (Procurve 2530) host VLAN 1020 - User Data network
I have Switch B (Procurve 2626 default vlan only - Server network
I have created a LACP trunk between them using the 1000SX ports (2 x Fibre ports used)
I only get connectiving between a workstation on switch A (VLAN1020) and server on switch B (Default VLAN) when one of the fibres is connected. If i connect both together the connection drops.
I am thinking this is a vlan issue because if i create VLAN1020 on switch A and put the trunk ports and workstation port on this VLAN connectivity works with both fibre ports connected in the trunk.
Any ideas?

Re: Trunk only passes traffic when one cable connected.
What are your IP's? I believe these are layer 2 switches and if so you need a router in order to send and receive information via cross-vlan traffic. Not so versed in HP switches but with Cisco switches this is the case.

Re: Trunk only passes traffic when one cable connected.
Can you post your configuration for both switches?
I'm sure we can get this to work.
