Upgrading firmware on ProCurve 2530 (J9772A) switch

Hello,

We have a ProCurve 2530-48 (J9772A) switch that seems to restart (or similar I guess) 1-2 times a week. It was suggested we upgrade the firmware to solve the problem which is currently YA.15.12.0015, ROM YA.15.12.  The big question is can I just jump straight to the latest and greatest or do I have to step up versions to get there?

You can go straight to the very latest, just be prepared to a quite sure two sequential reboots since, concurrently with software update, the actual BootRom version will automatically be updated too (and that will happen as the very first step once you boot into the new software image). Read at least YA.16.08.0002 Release Notes to familiarize with the process.
