VLAN Routing issue - ProCurve 2848
Howdy All:
I need your help. I have VLANS that are intermittently communicating with each other, that is, sometimes I can ping from VLAN1 (Default VLAN - the Company LAN) to VLAN20 (Voice - Phone System Network) or vice versa. But sometimes I get no replies as well.
Our 2848 configuration is setup as the following:
- VLAN1 is set with IP address 10.10.0.240 and is our Default Gateway for our Internal LAN.
- VLAN20 is set with IP Address 10.20.0.240 and is the Default Gateway for our Phone System .
- IP Routing is 'ON'.
- Port 24 is attached to our Phone System and is untagged as VLAN 20.
- I can ping 10.10.0.240 and 10.20.0.240 from the Phone System Network without being intermittent.
- I can ping 10.20.0.240 and 10.10.0.240 from any LAN computer also with no intermittency.
- I can ping any Internal LAN IP or the Phone System network from the switch.
If any one has any ideas or sees where I have gone amiss, or needs further information, then your help will be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Carl
