Warning - WB_16_10_0016 will destroy your 2920 Stack
Just a warning:
WB_16_10_0016 will destroy your 2920 network stack. Installing that firmware over gui is not possible. the gui shows an error like "upload failed you are not authorized to upload files".
I installed it over the imc... but after that, the stack members are mixed up. Member 1 is now member 3 and member 3 is member 2 and so on. If you have a 24 and 48 port mixed in that stack, the switch will drop all configparts which dont make any sense.
For example: Your config says 1/48 untagged vlan 50..... and after the update member 1 is a 24 port switch, it will drop that part of the config.
as far as i know the firmware is running fine on stand alone switches.
Before update:
stacking
member 1 type "J9727A" mac-address 941882-a8b900
member 1 priority 255
member 2 type "J9729A" mac-address 480fcf-1cdd40
member 2 priority 192
member 3 type "J9729A" mac-address 480fcf-1ccd40
after update:
stacking
member 1 type "J9729A" mac-address 480fcf-1ccd40
member 2 type "J9729A" mac-address 480fcf-1cdd40
member 2 priority 192
member 3 type "J9727A" mac-address 941882-a8b900

Re: Warning - WB_16_10_0016 will destroy your 2920 Stack
Hello @HamBam ,
It seems members reshuffled due to sequence of reboot of members during upgrade.
Is it possible to reboot the lower priority member?
Thanks!

Re: Warning - WB_16_10_0016 will destroy your 2920 Stack
I tried everything. Firmware is buggy.
Downgrade to WB_16_10_0015 with a config recovery is working.

Re: Warning - WB_16_10_0016 will destroy your 2920 Stack
Hello @HamBam ,
I believe WB_16_10_0016 is the latest release.
Can you confirm the software version before to WB_16_10_0016?
It was 0015 or something else.
Thanks!

Re: Warning - WB_16_10_0016 will destroy your 2920 Stack
WB_16_10_0015 is working fine on single switches and stacks.
0016 is the latest release.
Rebooting will fix nothing, because after the update many vlan assignments are completely gone in the config file.
Just dont install it.

Re: Warning - WB_16_10_0016 will destroy your 2920 Stack
And what's about installing the WB.16.10.0016 software via CLI instead as per this guide?
