Celebrating the future talent in 'The Channel Reality Show’ end of season celebration

Highlighting partner talent and collaboration

Watch the end of season celebration highlights here

Launched at the beginning of 2024 and running as a five-episode series, HPE’s The Channel Reality Show saw nine early-career sales staff from our partner community compete to win a coveted ticket to HPE’s flagship event, HPE Discover Las Vegas.

This was an incredible opportunity to bring together our partners and demonstrate the value that our partners bring to their customers by partnering with HPE, presenting the contestants with challenges based on training sessions provided. Over the course of these sessions, our nine contestants tackled challenges and created pitches, with a panel of judges assessing their performance with feedback centred on supporting their development. Each contestant brought different skills to the table and worked together, building relationships and a great camaraderie to achieve their final goal.

“When I look at the first episode, and then the last – I feel like I’ve come a really long way.”

“The learning curve, the friends you meet and the network you get is fantastic, it’s pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, it’s worth it.”

To celebrate the finale of the show, we invited around 80 guests, including partners and HPE colleagues involved in producing the show, to view the episode and crown the winner. It was also an opportunity to thank our partners for their involvement and recognise the hard work that had gone into creating the show.

Contestants from HPE’s partners included Simoda, Centerprise, Insight, Telefonica Tech, Daisy Corporate Services, FGS, Fortem IT and SHI. They all took away valuable lessons from the experience, increasing their confidence, learning about HPE Storage solutions and understanding more of the value they add with their own unique characters.

The eventual winner, Ted, revealed that he only applied to the show an hour before the deadline, but told us that it was an exciting, scary but empowering experience, which he and the other contestants would highly recommend to other early-careers sales staff.

Our channel-first approach

At HPE, we have always been a ‘channel-first’ organisation, and the show demonstrated our commitment to continually invest in our partners and their future talent. It also provided an opportunity to highlight our training resources in an engaging way, to improve and increase delivery of HPE Storage Solutions to our partners’ customers.

Through The Channel Reality Show, we were able to demonstrate our ongoing support of the success of our partners, and we are grateful to them for their involvement in the series.

All the show episodes and supporting HPE Storage conversation guides are still available and can be found at www.thechannelrealityshow.co.uk. Full of practical advice and guidance, they are an invaluable tool in enhancing knowledge and helping to open new customer conversations.
