HPE SimpliVity Data Protection
HPE SimpliVityโs hyperconverged infrastructure is a fast, efficient and cost-effective solution. Agile and scalable, HPE SimpliVity also protects your data with built in backup and recovery.
With increased concerns over data security and the need for facilitating an efficient remote workforce as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, HPE SimpliVity provides a robust solution in this uncertain time.
In this video, I look at the process of data protection and how disaster recovery (DR) can be simplified with HPE SimpliVity.
Data protection and backup
With threat actors taking advantage of remote workersโ less secure connections, cyber security has become an essential focus for many organisations. Data protection and disaster recovery are built in as standard to HPE SimpliVity, and data is protected at every level, for peace of mind.
A complete version of each virtual machine (VM) is written onto a separate node, keeping the data replicated in its entirety, ready to restore, if required. Taking a backup of each VM is near-instant, and itโs the same restoring it; a couple of clicks and itโs there again. This facilitates a fast and easy way to protect your data. Intelligent capacity efficiency technology knows which data is missing on the specific VM and restores just whatโs needed. It can also be sent to any machine within the HPE SimpliVity federation, meaning backed up data can be restored exactly where itโs needed, immediately.
For longer term retention, HPE StoreOnce systems can be integrated, and with HPE StoreOnce CloudBank, your data can be stored long-term in the cloud as well.
Disaster recovery with RapidDR
Building a recovery plan for events of malware, corruption or equipment failure is an important part of every organisationโs data protection and disaster recovery strategy, proving even more crucial during this time. HPE SimpliVityโs RapidDR simplifies recovery, reducing the time taken to recover an environment. With a complete DR plan, you can prioritise the order of recovery, as well as testing recovery capabilities in an isolated environment, before an issue even arises. This can then act as a single point to start an actual recovery, should the need arise. Data can be accessed and restored in a couple of clicks, driven by the virtualisation administrator inside the hyperviser management tool, meaning no separate environment is required to manage it.
HPE SimpliVity delivers simplified data protection and disaster recovery resilience with speed and efficiency.
