Q4 Highlights: A Deep Dive into HPE's moves & milestones
Quarter in review: HPE drives innovation, collaboration and impact
With our latest quarter at its end, we’re taking a moment to look back at all that’s happened at HPE over the last three months. With events to celebrate our partners, showcase our solutions and give back to the community, this quarter has been packed full! Here’s a whistlestop tour of a few things we’ve been up to:
Watch the video here
Taking AI on the road
As developments and interest in AI continue at pace, it’s vital for us to initiate and continue conversations with our customers. Our Gen AI roadshow and Accelerate AI event were ideal opportunities to talk to attendees and offer new insights.
In collaboration with NVIDIA, we hosted our ‘Building Self-Hosted Generative AI Solutions at Scale’ workshop in Riyadh. Open to IT professionals, we looked at deploying, scaling, and strengthening AI foundations. Sessions focused on how to build a Machine Learning platform for Gen AI, exploring infrastructure, software and resources, as well as how to scale and deploy AI. Our experts also shared many other practical tips and guidance on building successful Gen AI including how to avoid escalating costs of cloud when looking into AI development.
Our Accelerate AI event welcomed over 70 partners as we again shared our expertise and advice on successful AI through a range of workshops. One attendee commented, “Some great discussion on engaging customers in a discussion around AI and a path to Storage and Compute. Great to see some use cases. Networking opportunity was valuable. Learnt a lot about supports in place in HPE for partners relating to AI”.
Celebrating our partners
This quarter also saw us celebrating the hard work and achievements of our partners, with a partner football event as well as our HPE Africa Partner Summit.
The partner football event brought together 12 teams to compete in a series of matches across the day. Providing an opportunity for strengthening relationships, celebrating and having fun, the day also raised £5000 for Sebastian's Action Trust, a charity that provides respite holidays to sick children and their families.
Our HPE Africa Partner Summit was also a great opportunity to celebrate with our partners. Welcoming over 90 attendees from 35 countries, the event explored business challenges and solutions. We looked at customer success stories, recognised the hard work of our partners and ended the event in true African style with plenty of food, music and dancing. Ahmad Alkhallafi - Managing Director United Arab Emirates and Africa reflected that, “This was an important event to connect to partners and distributors to ensure that we deliver best in class technology services across Africa”.
Showcasing innovation in the Middle East
You couldn’t keep us away from GITEX Global 2024 and GAIN summit, where we had the opportunity to share more about the practical application of our technology.
Celebrating 44 years, the largest tech and AI event in the world, GITEX Global 2024 took place in Dubai in October. We showcased our experience in unlocking AI, exploring edge to cloud solutions and all the latest HPE technologies, including ‘Antonio Nearly’, a trained LLM model avatar of our CEO, Antonio Neri who was able to chat to attendees about HPE. Matt Harris SVP and Managing Director UKIMEA said, “Over 6,500 exhibitors were on display, from startups to organisations like ourselves. Our booth showcased our capability around hybrid cloud, networking and AI, and we had great conversations, with a great job from the local team and great innovation in the future.”
Riyadh’s GAIN Summit saw us tackle some challenging questions around AI development, joining with visionaries, academics and policymakers to showcase our leadership in high-performance computing and share how business can strive for AI-driven innovation. Insightful panel discussions and debates centred on the future, where AI serves as a catalyst for positive change, enhancing human potential and fostering sustainable development for the good of humanity.
United we stand
Our bi-annual Day of Service saw HPE teams volunteer across the UK, Ireland, Africa and the Middle East.
Staff gave their time and effort to a range of projects across the globe. These included:
- Restoring the grounds of Reading Football Club with jet washing walls, cleaning, and general maintenance.
- Lending a hand at Wyfold Riding Group for the Disabled, maintaining parkland and sheds.
- Assisting in creating raised beds, clearing trees and bushes, weeding, and at Holme Farm
- Supporting a food bank in Cairo with practical assistance.
With some teams suffering under a deluge of torrential rain, there was no quitting for our resilient people! Our day of service not only was chance to give back, but provided the opportunity for teams to network with others and make new connections within the company.
There have been some brilliant events and opportunities this Quarter to engage with our customers and partners in supporting them on their AI journeys. From driving innovation and celebrating success, to giving back to our communities, we’re excited about building on this momentum during the next Quarter.
