A3470 FC card and fabric mode
Can HP A3470-60101 fiber channel cards be used in a SAN fabric, or are they loop only? This card is in an N4000.

Unfortunately loop only. Call HP and check if you can change this HBA for A5158A

The A3740 card is *only* supported for loop only. It is not supported on Fabric.
See the attached document, where the only cards that are supported for fabric are:
??? Fibre Channel A5158A PCI Tachyon TL
??? Fibre Channel A6684A HSC Tachlite
??? Fibre Channel A6685A HSC Tachlite
and this table as well.
