I am looking at various SAN Management tools (Veritas SANpoint Control) etc... and much of these tools have different level of support depending on what HBAs you are using. None of them mention the A5658A fibre card that we are using. Is that card really an OEMed version of another such as Emulex, JNI, Qlogic??? Any help will result in points. Thanks for any input.

Solution
It looks like A5658A is a cache memory upgrade for an FC60 disk array...
Are you sure about that product number?
More to the point of your question, OpenView has "SAM", or Storage Area Management, which is the HP equiv. product to SANpoint Control.
Most of the HP cards are manufactured by Aglient (former div. of HP)
Good luck!

No matter where you go, there you are.

Re: A5658A HP Fibre Card and SAN Mgt
Are you sure you don't mean A5158A, which is the 1Gb PCI Fibre channel card?
Beware of SANPoint control on HP servers, SANpoint discovers SAN devices in a number of ways, and to get real detailed (ie useful) info on a device it needs to run an agent on the SAN attached host - last time I checked these agents only run on Solaris and Wintel servers. As Vincent suggested I would take a look at OV-SAM.
