Adding Disks to EVA while Leveling

I was told once you should only add one disk at a time to a disk group in case one of the disks is bad. When I add one disk, it takes almost 1 day to level. Can I add more disks while it is leveling?

No problem. Consider to add your disks (wait some minutes between 2 disks), group them all together.

Hope this helps!

Re: Adding Disks to EVA while Leveling

There is no problem of adding disks at the time of leveling.

The goal of the virtual disk leveling is to provide capacity leveling across all disk drives within a disk group. Load balancing is achieved through capacity leveling. You can also refer the following link,
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c01209515〈=en&cc=us&taskId=&prodSeriesId=321347&prodTypeId=12169

When adding multiple disk drives, add a disk and wait for its activity indicator (1) to
stop flashing (up to 90 seconds) before installing the next disk.
