Adding ESL9595 to SAN and Data protector
We have DataProtector and an HP-UX system and some other nodes on our SAN.
All is well and we just added 4 new tapedrives into the ESL9595. As well as a new interface card in the back of the ESL.We added the WWID aliases into the zone which includes the HP-ux box but when running ioscan, we don't see the new drives.
Does the system need to be rebooted?

Re: Adding ESL9595 to SAN and Data protector
What I forgot to also ask is within HP-UX, how can I show the WWID information for anything that the system sees on the SAN. And/or for any FC adapters within the system?

Re: Adding ESL9595 to SAN and Data protector
Hello TB,
you need to create a LUN mapping on the E2400 interface card. See the 'Network Storage Router M2402 Application Note' on this page:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?contentType=SupportManual&locale=en_US&docIndexId=179911&taskId=101&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=337412
The page is about the M2402, but that is just a different packaging - the management is the same.

I am not a HP-UX administrator, but I think the "fcmsutil" program is what you need for you second question.
