adding NPIV to existing Cisco SAN 9124 environment on C7000s
Total noob question.
We are implementing Hyper-V in an existing blade server environment where we already use an EVA4400 with Cisco 9124 & 9124e core-edge FC SAN switches. Our switches are all running 3.3(1c) SAN OS, we have ISL between switches and are currently configured to use "generic" FC switch config. (single production VSAN, etc.)
Initial inquires show that we will have to enable NPIV to be able to provide for VM automatic fail over (equivalent to v-motion?)
Not sure where to start in terms of requirements and relevant documentation. Any guidance or tips appreciated.
Thanks
