Blade SAN switch configuration
Hi All,
I have a HP BL860c blades with Brocade BladeSystem 4/12 SAN Switch (AE370A) which I want to connect to the main SAN environment.
I can see the Blade SAN switch is having license only for U port, not for E port, But the main SAN switch has E port license ..
Is it possible to connect 2..
rgds..

Re: Blade SAN switch configuration
The Blade SAN switches are designed to be connected to an existing fabric. The licenses should be ready to go for you to ISL into your main SAN environment.
If memory serves, Brocade calls a "U-PORT" a universal port, which means it can do anything...E, F, FL.
So, just make sure your domain IDs are different before you connect ISL, and everything will be cool.
Take care.
