Re: Brocade 4/24 SAN Switch reset to default settings
can you access the switches with a serial console or/and do you have the ip-settings of the switches? Do you tried the root account?
Regards,
Patrick

Re: Brocade 4/24 SAN Switch reset to default settings
Do not use the Brocade factory default reset!
Telnet to your OA IP address. At the OA cli do a
connect interconnect 3
3 = interconnect bay number
Do you know the username and password from the Brocade logon prompt? If these are brand new switches the default is username = admin and password = password
If the password has been losted, contact HP for Brocade password recovery steps. This will require connecting to the internal serial port. This is done by getting first to the OA cli as described above.
The 4/24 has no external serial port.

Re: Brocade 4/24 SAN Switch reset to default settings
I connected through telnet to the interconnect bay where the switch is located and I was able to login to the switch, but when I open the management console of the switch through the OA I get a log in Failed error though I am using the same default usernames I used to login through telnet
(admin, root, fatory, user).
Any idea why I am not able to login to the management console of the switch??
Regards

Re: Brocade 4/24 SAN Switch reset to default settings
And is the actual error message "Login failure"?

Re: Brocade 4/24 SAN Switch reset to default settings
But it won't be a Brocade password recovery process if you are able to login to the switch via the cli. HP has to figure out why the management console = Brocade Web Tools won't accept the same credentials as the command line.
