Brocade SAN Health Tool

Does anyone of you have used this tool? How good is it? What about the performance reports that generates?

Thanks for any comment.

Re: Brocade SAN Health Tool

I use it quite often. It's a good tool which gives you very detailed inventory reports. The Visio drawings are not realy what I expected especialy if you have 2/64 (Brcd 12000) core switches. It doesn't see the thing as 1 chassis.

Like I said the information is very detailed and I recommend it to all my collueges as well.

Re: Brocade SAN Health Tool

Hi Gianni,

To help optimize your SAN's performance, SAN Health automatically discovers critical fabric characteristics and reports their details in easy-to-understand Excel and Visio formats. In addition, SAN Health performs critical tasks such as:

1.) Taking inventory of devices, switches, firmware versions, and fabrics
2.) Capturing and displaying historical performance data
3.) Comparing zoning and switch configurations against best practices
4.) Assessing performance statistics and error conditions
5.) Producing detailed graphical reports and diagrams

Re: Brocade SAN Health Tool

Thank you both for answering me. I can see that this tool will help me a lot.

The bad thing is that i already registered for the first time in the brocade site, like four days ago, so i could be able to download the tool, but so far i havent recieved any email yet. i also sent them an email today and nada!

Does anybody know if the registration process takes that long? I used one of my brocade WWN name, and i think thats the only prerequisite they ask you.

I received the confirmation email 5 minutes after registering with Brocade.
