Brocade switch model names and common names.

Brocade switch model names and common names.

I have 3 different hp rebranded brocade switches in each of 2 fabrics. I seek the "common hp name" and the "brocade name" for the switches.

Here are the switches that I have:

DS-DSGGD-BA (287055-B21)
DS-DSGGB-AB (158223-B21)
DS-DSGGD-AB (240603-B21)

I am unsure if this is enough info to determine:

1. HP's common name for the switch and
2. Brocade's common name for the switch

Any ideas or links appreciated. Goal: find firmware/fabricOS website for each switch.

Nevermind. I am finding the information that I need by searching on the code in the parenthesis.

Hi Adam,

imagine this: a user is searching for a solution. He's finding exact the same question here on ITRC and the answer is like this:

I found the solution by myself, thank you all.

This is NOT helpful, please provide your solution.

I thing a link is enough.
Thank you!

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Brocade switch model names and common names.

hp.com --> download drivers/software --> search for the stuff between the parenthesis in my post to get the switch firmware/OS.

e.g. search against (287055-B21)

I had said that in my post when closing, but hadn't said it all that clearly.
