I installed a EVA4000 and command view eva 4.11. I could not successfully run scanmaster on the server containing the CVEVA software I used many combinations of the username and password. I then came across the advisory regarding smart start 7.2 and the password issue.
I ran the "c:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\SANworks\Element Manager for StorageWorks HSV\Bin\elmsetup.exe -pA:administrator –f" My scanmaster collection works now however I cannot log into the web command view eva interface. I have tried all combinations of usernames and passwords. Problem is I tried it on another system with exactly the same result.
I can log into the system management homepage but when I select command view eva from the left pane it takes me to the login again and I have tried again all combinations of usernames and passwords without any luck
Do you have any suggestions? Your assistance will be appreciated.

Re: Cannot log into Command view EVA 4.11
I've experienced this problem as well, many times. It is usually on a system that was configured with SmartStart (7.2 I believe). After using elmsetup and restarting the CommandView service, the CommandView web interface doesn't work just as you described.
You can correct this problem by reinstalling CommandView EVA 4.1.1 and rebooting the system. Works every time.
Good luck.

Re: Cannot log into Command view EVA 4.11
I did not have to reinstall a simple reboot resolved the issue.
Thanks
