Cannot see LUN's after FC Switch restart
We had to restart our Cisco FC Switches after a power loss. After the reboot the EVA 8K is not accessible from Command View EVA 6. We had to recreate the zones on the Cisco MDS and then everything was fine. Anybody experienced such behaviour?
TIA

Re: Cannot see LUN's after FC Switch restart
Maybe the configuration was not saved to the nonvolatile storage. Cisco MDS CLI is IOS-like and it requires "copy running-config startup-config" command to save the running configuration to NVRAM (in case you configured the switch using CLI). I don't remember if the Java-based GUI does this automatically after changing configuration. But I'd say that the configuration might not have been saved.

Re: Cannot see LUN's after FC Switch restart
Yep, the config needs to be saved to NVRAM and this has to be done manually, either through CLI (as mentioned by Marek), or through Fabric Manager by using the bottom left window (Physical Attributes) > Switches > Copy Configuration. Select all switches where you want to save the config and then apply the changes.
