Change SCSIPort driver to STORPort driver with MSA1000
I have a four node Windows 2003 cluster. Each node has 2 fca2101 HBAs. Each is running Secure path. I have two SAN switches and two MSA1000s which are also dual pathed. I have been told that it would be a good idea to switch out the SCSIport drivers with the STORPort drivers.
I have been told that the replacement process is as simple as using the MSA Maintenance CD and say update drivers.
This sounds too simple...
I may just be paranoid...
My configuration on each node is:
two FCA2101
Secure Path v4.0c sp2-1, Workgroup edition
Secure Path Disk driver 5.2.3790.0
MSA1000 firmware v 4.48
Emulex LightPulse LP952 SCSIport Miniport driver vesion 5.5.20.10
Is SecurePath for workgroups ok with the storport drivers?
If I move all the resources to other nodes, pause the node and replace the driver using the MSA1000 Maintenance CD, should everything come back?
Has anyone ever done this scenario?
