Cisco Fabric Manager and CommandView TL on the same host?
I'm currently trying to consolidate all storage management software to a single server host.
One issue I saw coming from approximately 150 miles away is the coexistence of Cisco Fabric Manager for the MDS switches and CommandView TL for the tape libraries. They both use a PostgreSQL database, bundled with the software.
Fabric Manager uses PostgreSQL 8.2 whilst CommandView TL uses PostgreSQL 8.3. The installation of Fabric Manager allows you to fine tune the installation of PostgreSQL whereas CommandView TL gives you no options at all. Before trying all possible combinations of installation order and port number, has anyone out there had any success in installing these two applications on the same host?
I'm quite aware it's not supported, but for now I'd settle for working.
